MTA Subway: The C Train in New York City

MTA Subway: The C Train in New York City

The C train is the local train going from 168th Street, Uptown Manhattan to Euclid Avenue, Brooklyn. This particular model of car is R32 and is the oldest model of subway train still in operation in the New York Transit family. It was first inaugarated on September 1964 and at that time it was considered to be state of the art. However, in today’s modern world, this train is long over due in the replacement department. Nevertheless, one cant help but to appreciate the retro look of this piece of history with its stainless steel exterior, and scrolling message windows.

Sunset Shack in Cedar Key

Sunset Shack in Cedar Key

I know I seem to be on a Cedar Key pic Kick 🙂 But Cedar Key really is a quaint and nice little coastal community. If you live in Florida and have never been to Cedar Key, well, you need to go at least once in your life :). At any rate, I took this picture on my second visit to Cedar Key (and am currently using it to create our studio poster). it was about 10 minutes til the sun was completely gone.

Abode in the plains of Cedar Key

Most of the houses in Cedar Key are in the Olrd Florida Style. This however is a modern gem. It completely contrasts the landscape and yet it somehow seems right at home.

I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
